Hello, my name is Richard.

I completed my post-secondary education at the University of British Columbia where I received a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Biochemistry and a Master of Science degree in Reproductive Medicine.

Completion of my Master’s degree required me to begin working with programming / data using R. As I learned more and became more comfortable with R, I gradually started to view it as a viable alternative career path to scientific research.

Since graduating, programming has continued to be an interest of mine; however, the skills and experiences I developed from earning my degree were limited. This blog site will serve as a journal as I continue to further hone and develop my skills in programming.
